Notes: It's important to determine beforehand who's into oviposition and who isn't. A narrative method of doing this like "Who touches the egg shrine" or whatever might be implemented later, but for now, just ask. Spiders conveniently never stick eggs into characters whose players aren't into ovi.

There are three major approaches to the Drider Queen's nest. The players can fight straight through the main nests, but that might be dense and difficult; the Mansion on the edge of the forest is rumored to have an underground passage, but

The Mansion

Once the home of a local lord famed for lascivious and kinky parties, until his mysterious disappearance many years ago. While the prevailing theory is that he died in a self-bondage experiment gone horribly wrong, no evidence or body exists to support it - but a lot of the lord's kinky traps and enchantments still linger, functional, within the splendid but neglected walls of the place.

(note - This could be a cross-bondage-type scenario all on its own, more survival horror and less combat oriented. Investigate possibility.)

The Back

The back webs are only occasionally patrolled by actual spiders, who have simply used a large number of traps to guard the back.

Navigating the Webs:

Chasm:

The party must leap over a chasm filled with webs. To leap across the chasm, players must roll above or equal to their Defense rating. Skill Focus classes and Martial Artists, whose defense is represented by their mobility, get +3 to this roll.

Failure will cause a player to fall in, gaining a Web Trap of 1d4+2 levels. The players have 3 turns to escape or assist with the escape of these web traps; if all players are not completely free by that time, [Partysize] Giant Spiders and Large Spiders will come to investigate.

This encounter can be escaped once the party is entirely free of Web Traps via a contested roll. Roll 1d20 for each fleeing player, the GM rolls for the spiders. The player is penalized by any defense penalties caused by leg bondage and cannot escape if incapacitated. Players attempting to escape forgo their turn and take 1d3 levels of web bondage as they flee through the forest.

Captured players will reappear during the boss fight.
